Description
This retro inspired Tom Anderson Raven Superbird Classic is in Daphne Blue, with their “In-Distress” level one of aged finish, with aged and checked paint but no real wear.
It is outfitted with their 60s Vibe neck profile with 1 11/16″ Nut width and Medium Jumbo Frets.
Electronics include a set of PQ pickups, with 3-Way big toggle on the upper horn, and a pair of cut switches on the Tortoise Shell pickguard.
Hardware includes their Fixed Bridge and locking tuners.
The Superbird is a Raven done in a particular way that makes it more…aggressive. (kind of if a Firebird and an offset guitar had a baby).
A Superbird is always:
- A Short Scale Length, 24 3/4-inch from nut to bridge. This makes reaching a bit easier and mid frequencies a little more emphasized.
- Mahogany Neck Back. This also brings focus and an overlay of aggression into the midrange by smoothing the outer frequencies of the bandwidth.
This one also features a Mahogany Body, which brings its original signature sound of expected muscular midrange—the original body wood for a Superbird.
