What can’t Ian Thornley do? Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, the lead singer of his band Big Wreck, a world-class guitar player, a songwriter, and solo-artist, Ian Thornley is an incredible musician in every sense of the word.

It is our pleasure to introduce the latest achievement in Suhr’s search to build Ian his perfect guitar. The all-new Suhr Ian Thornley Signature “Roughneck” Classic S has all of the incredible tone and playability that you would expect to find in an instrument with Ian Thornley’s signature on the back.

The first Classic S that Suhr has built for Ian has an alder body, with an incredibly stable roasted maple neck with his custom Ian Thornley V neck shape. Complete with an Indian Rosewood fretboard, this sets the stage for Ian to build a powerhouse of an instrument. Equipped with an Aldrich Humbucker neck and bridge pickup and a V63+ in the middle position, combined with Ian’s custom wiring gives you access to a complete range of tone, covering any genre you can imagine. Driving riffs, soaring leads, and clean and clear rhythms and chords, this guitar does everything you can dream.

NECK PROFILE: IAN THORNLEY V. Measures .875″.970″ with a 1.650″ nut width, Roasted Maple neck with Satin Finish.

FRETS: JUMBO STAINLESS STEEL, Measures .57″x.110″., 16″ Fingerboard Radius.

SUHR LOCKING TUNERS: Proprietary Suhr locking tuners provide improved tuning stability, easy string changes, and an 18:1 gear ratio.

PICKUPS: Suhr Aldrich Bridge & Neck (raw nickel), V63+ Middle Single Coil (parchment), with Alnico 5 “Special” Magnets.

VERSATILE ELECTRONICS: The humbuckers can be independently set for series or parallel operation thanks to convenient push/push switches installed on the tone controls.
