We’re stoked to bring you this beautiful Mayones Hydra Elite 6 headless guitar with a beautiful 3A Eye Poplar top and a stunning Trans Black Satin finish!

This guitar is aggressive and super fast to play and if you’re not careful, it could just bite your head off, too… The irony, of course, being that a Hydra is a many-headed serpent from Greek mythology. This guitar, however, is headless. Easy to transport (especially on airplanes) and easy on the shoulders and back, there are some definite advantages to the slimmed-down and sleek design concepts in this guitar. Blazing lead licks up and down the fretboard are a real breeze while complicated chord shapes are still easy to get every note to ring out perfectly. The Pro 6 is the only Hydra that comes with a tremolo bridge. It’s silky smooth to use, and holds intonation extremely well even if you’re wailing away on it. From light flutters to dive bombs, it’s got you covered.

Mayones has introduced new proprietary Velvetrone pickups for their guitars alongside their venerable Velvetrone bass pickups. This Hydra features the phenomenal Ironside bridge & Solium neck set. The Ironside bridge pickup is ripping and aggressive with high output, focused midrange, and powerful highs and lows – just the way we like it! The Solium neck is smooth, warm, and rich, perfect for vocal-like lead tones and shimmering clean tones. Although we’re still massive fans of the Bare Knuckle TKOs, these new pickups are just as incredible and dialed in perfectly.

The neck is extremely comfortable, the pickups are hot and in-your-face, and the construction is absolutely flawless… All it needs is a master to tame the dragon.
