The TS9 is a modern classic. It has one of the warmest, most expressive overdrive tones you can get out of a pedal, and it was sounding great long before the boutique pedal craze. This TS9DX keeps the TS9 platform intact, but adds three new settings for added crunch: +, Hot and Turbo. The lower gain settings are the tried and true TS9 sound you’re used to, but the new hotter sounds turn this pedal into a snarling blues machine. With the drive cranked, there’s a whole lot of raunch and grit that you’ve never heard from a Tube Screamer. The added range makes it an ideal all-purpose boost/overdrive pedal. I’d go on stage with nothing in between my amp and me except this pedal, and I’d be totally comfortable in just about any musical setting.
